Colorado Springs, CO - Fall 2025

This one started as a simple road trip - windows down, Colorado scenery doing its thing - with a quick stop at Garden of the Gods to stretch my legs and grab some shots. I got to the resort to grab some lunch and that’s where a bee decided to audition for villain of the trip, but an epipen handled it, and I carried on to rest for the next day of shooting as if I didn’t just maybe die. The staff made it all better, gifting me with the kindest little get-well package, which honestly took the sting out of the whole situation.

The real focus of the trip was our full shoot day, and this resort delivered more than expected. It looks modest when you first arrive, but once you start moving through it, you realize how sprawling it actually is - micro-beachside moments, mountain backdrops, tucked-away corners that look made for a fun peek-a-boo shot. We covered a lot in one day, and it all felt productive and grounded.

Before driving back home, I took a quick loop through downtown Colorado Springs and one last slow pass through Garden of the Gods. It wasn’t a long visit, but it had all the pieces: a good shoot, kind people, solid views, and just enough chaos to make it memorable.
