Punta Cana, DR - Fall 2025

Punta Cana hits you with color before anything else — sunlight bouncing off white sand, the ocean shifting between turquoise and navy like it can’t decide what mood it’s in, and palm trees doing their eternal slow dance. I was there for work with a team of six, split into two groups of three, tackling three full-day content captures in a row. It was the kind of schedule that looks ambitious on paper and somehow becomes even more ambitious when you’re actually sweating through it.

Each property had its own personality. Some were sleek and modern, others were lush and tropical, and all were wildly photogenic in that “no bad angle” way. We captured everything.

The best part? It wasn’t just me, alone. There’s something about watching other creatives work in real time - their rhythm, their instincts, the way they spot details you didn’t notice - that reminds you why you love doing this. Between shots, we joked, swapped stories, and tried not to fry under the Caribbean sun.

After long days on our feet, the nights were quieter. A late dinner with plenty of good food, some debriefing, maybe a quick walk along the property or shore before collapsing into bed. Punta Cana has that effect: it keeps you alert during the day with its beauty, then humbles you at night with how quickly your body wants to shut down after withstanding its sun.

By the end of our five-day sprint, I felt that mix of exhaustion and pride that only comes from pulling off something massive. This wasn’t a vacation - but it was still a reminder of how lucky I am to do work in places that people dream of visiting. Punta Cana didn’t have to try hard; it just existed, vivid and unfiltered, and we got to turn that into stories for people who’ve never stepped foot there.

If anything, the trip taught me that even when you’re moving fast - gear in hand, shot list in your back pocket - you can still feel connected to a place. And Punta Cana, with all its brightness, made that connection easy.
